About the Fast and Furriest Turkey Trot
This is a Thanksgiving morning run in Sunnyvale that raises money for the local animal shelter. The cause gives it a distinct character: donations are welcome at the event, and the whole thing is oriented around finding homes for animals rather than chasing a finish time. Expect families, pets, and a decidedly holiday-morning pace.
Packet pickup runs at Town Hall in the days leading up to Thanksgiving, with several windows across the week. Race-day pickup and registration both open at the high school concession stand before the start, so you have options if you cannot make it out earlier.

The Fast and Furriest Turkey Trot has been held every year since at least 2023. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Oct 18, 2026.
