About the Farmers Market 5K Run/Walk

The course runs on paved road and loops back to the Shelbyville Farmers Market, so the start and finish drop you right in the middle of the market itself. Vendors and produce stalls are already going when runners come through, which gives the morning a different feel than a park or a parking lot start. Animal trophies go to the top finishers overall and by age group.

After the race, the market is right there to walk around, and there are restaurants and shops nearby if you want to stretch the morning out. The event benefits Healthy Shelby, a local program that supports charities around the county.
