Both distances run point to point along the Centennial Trail, finishing at Averill Field. The course is fully paved and follows the trail corridor, so there are no turns to navigate and the surface stays consistent throughout. The half starts further out at a trailhead, while the shorter distance joins the route closer to town, and both end at the same finish area.
