About the Emerge 5K
The Emerge 5K is a walk/run organized by Rise Against Suicide, focused on youth mental health awareness. Along the course, butterfly signs mark the stories of people who have been lost or affected by suicide, giving the route a reflective quality that sets it apart from most road races. Speakers, live music, and food trucks fill out the morning around the start and finish area.
A kids zone and a space for connection and remembrance are part of the event footprint, so it draws families as much as runners. Local vendors and a food truck presence make the post-race area worth staying for. The event is free to enter, and participants can also form fundraising teams or sponsor a butterfly sign honoring someone they love.
