About the Dyslexia Dash - 3+ Mile Run or Walk
The Dyslexia Dash was founded by Juliet Benjamin and is built around a cause: bringing attention to dyslexia and other learning differences, particularly how early detection matters. The course is a run or walk route, open to all paces, and starts and finishes in a fitness center's parking lot.
Packet pickup opens the morning of the race before the start, and same-day registration is accepted up until shortly before the gun. The start and finish are at the Lifetime facility in Westlake, so parking is built into the venue.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Dyslexia Dash - 3+ Mile Run or Walk has been held every year since at least 2025. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
