About the Military Heroes 5k/10k Run
The course runs on a trail through the Solana Plaza area in Westlake. The shorter distance is a loop with some shade cover; the longer one branches off along the trail before rejoining the same path back to the finish. That second option has real hills to it, while the loop course stays relatively gentle. The race benefits veterans injured in service.
Packet pickup is available at a running store in Keller the two days before the race, with additional pickup at the start on race morning. Parking is in a garage across the street from the start area, so plan for a short walk to the course.
