About the Duke Time for Time 5K Color Run
This is an untimed color run on the Duke East Campus, so the emphasis is on participation over pace. Color powder gets thrown at runners along the route, and the whole thing benefits a nonprofit that brings weekly deliveries to children in a pediatric transplant unit. Wearing white beforehand is part of the tradition.
The event checks in at the campus before the run begins. Local businesses set up tables at the race, so the post-run area has some of that street-fair energy. It draws students, families, and community members, and there is no clock pressure to contend with.
