About the Dresden Melon Festival 5k & 10K

The course follows a paved bike trail along the Muskingum River, with tree cover lining most of the route. Both distances run out and back, so the scenery repeats, but the river stays with you the whole way. The finish pulls off the pavement and onto a grass stretch under a tree canopy right along the riverbank.

The boat ramp park just below the high school serves as both the start and the packet pickup spot, with pickup opening well before the gun. The finish area has water and food waiting.
