About the Dragon Dash 5k & Little Lizard 1K
The course starts and finishes on the high school track and sends runners through a mix of wooded trail, grassy stretches, crushed gravel, and pavement before looping back. It is mostly flat, but the varied surfaces mean trail shoes or something grippy will serve you better than road flats. Strollers and dogs are not permitted on either course.
Packet pickup runs the evening before the race in the school gym. The race is put on by the West Davidson High School athletic department, and a prize drawing is open to all who run the longer distance, with local sponsors contributing to the pot.
