About the DPS Education Foundation Turkey Trot 2025
The course runs along the Dan River on the Riverwalk Trail, an out-and-back on pavement with the river alongside most of the way. It starts and finishes at a minor-league baseball stadium, which gives the start area a bit more space and character than a typical parking-lot race. The trail is flat and the surroundings are quiet for a Thanksgiving morning.
Race-morning registration and packet pickup both open early, so there is no need to scramble the day before. Cash or check only if you are signing up on the day. The race benefits scholarships and programs for local public school students and teachers.
