About the Downs Park 5 Miler

The course runs on paved trails through wooded parkland, with the trees opening up at points to show views of the Chesapeake Bay. It is a loop that starts and ends at a pavilion inside the park, so there is no out-and-back retracing. The terrain is road-style underfoot, smooth enough that it moves quickly even through the shaded stretches.

Bib pickup happens on race morning before the start, with race-day registration also available in that same window. Strollers and baby joggers are not permitted on the course. The race is part of the Annapolis Striders Championship Series, so if you are already registered for that series, no separate entry is needed.
