About the Down Syndrome Awareness Walk/Run
The race takes place at Centennial Park, starting near a notable hill by the tennis courts. The course offers a short fun run and a longer walk/run option, and the park setting keeps things grounded in the neighborhood. Proceeds go toward supporting people with special needs in the local community.
Parking is across the street from the hill, near the baseball field. Registration check-in opens in the early afternoon, ahead of opening ceremonies and the start. Several food trucks will be on site, along with raffles and a split-pot drawing after the race.
