About the Donut Dash 5K
The course runs through a working farm outside Elkton, winding along a hayride trail, through an apple orchard, and past a berry patch before following a creek back in. The terrain and surroundings change as you go, so there is always something different underfoot or alongside you.
A portion of what the race brings in goes to a few local causes, including an animal services organization and an agricultural program at a county school of technology. That gives the morning a bit of weight beyond the running itself.
