About the Donut Dash 10K/5K/2K

The course runs through the streets and neighborhoods of Crown Point, so it is an urban route with the feel of a neighborhood tour rather than a park loop. The terrain is typical city pavement, and the race benefits a local food pantry and a learning center, which gives it a purposeful feel beyond the finish line.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at a local church on Main Street, with race-morning pickup also available before the start. Donuts and snacks are waiting at the finish. Awards go deep into age groups, including Clydesdale and Athena categories alongside the overall and masters divisions.

Common Questions About the Donut Dash 10K/5K/2K

Will I finish last at the Donut Dash 10K/5K/2K?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.1 Miles field finished slower than 35:39, and the last recorded finisher came in around 57:27, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Donut Dash 10K/5K/2K a good first 3.1 Miles?

It is a small race (168 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Donut Dash 10K/5K/2K?

The 3.1 Miles winner ran 19:45 while the median finisher took 35:39. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
