About the Dolphin Dash 5K and Fun Run
The course runs down Dolphin Avenue, then climbs through some trails before coming back down a residential street. That loop repeats, so you get a second pass at the climb before you are done. There are a couple of distance options, a shorter fun run alongside the full 5K. The race starts at the middle school and raises money for the school's parent-teacher organization.
The start area is the new middle school campus, which makes parking and gathering pretty straightforward. Middle school students earn house points for participating, so the crowd at the start skews young and tends to feel like a school event as much as a road race.
