About the Doggy Dash 5K
The race runs through Hudson Mills Metropark, so expect tree cover, open parkland, and paths that feel more like a nature walk than a road race. Dogs are welcome on course, which shapes the whole morning: expect leashes, wagging tails, and a pace that reflects that. The course has water and bananas along the way.
The park charges a vehicle entry fee unless you hold a Metroparks annual pass, so factor that in before you drive out. After finishing, there are baked goods and breakfast sandwiches available for purchase near the finish, along with dog treats. Custom bandanas and stuffed animals are also on sale at the event.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Doggy Dash 5K has been held every year since at least 2024. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
