About the Do the Haven Hustle 5K
The course runs through historic downtown Texarkana on roads, passing a string of landmarks: a performing arts theater, a historic house museum, a railyard, war memorials, an arts park, and murals of local figures including Scott Joplin. The route also goes by the post office that straddles the state line. Start and finish are at the same theater, so the surroundings stay central the whole way.
A continental breakfast is set up at the start and finish area after the race, along with an awards ceremony. Packet pickup runs the evening before, with race-morning options as well.
