About the DMACC 5K Walk/Run and Kids Fun Run
The race is tied to a community college campus in Ankeny, and the certified course runs through that setting. Strollers and leashed dogs are welcome, and a kids' fun run runs alongside the main event with a short course sized to the child. Age group awards go to the top finishers across a range of brackets in the main race.
Packet pickup is available the evening before at the campus aquatics and wellness center, with a brief window on race morning in the parking lot before the start. The race is organized to benefit the DMACC Foundation, and a warm breakfast burrito and snacks are at the finish.
