About the DJ’s Day of Giving Back 5.5K Walk/Run
The route starts and finishes at Eagles Field in Bluffton, a noncompetitive walk/run where pace genuinely does not matter. Proceeds go toward a scholarship fund in DJ Fields's memory, which gives the morning a specific weight that most local races do not carry.
After the run, the Fields family hosts a cookout at Eagles Field with food, games, and a live DJ. It is an extension of the event rather than an afterthought, and most people seem to stay for it.
