About the DC Race 5K

This race benefits a local nonprofit that works with lower-income school families, connecting them with food, clothing, healthcare, and educational support. The course runs through Silo Square, a mixed-use development in Southaven, so the surroundings feel more commercial plaza than park, with wide open pavement underfoot and plenty of room to spread out.

Packet pickup happens the evening before at a nearby bar and restaurant within Silo Square, with a second window on race morning at the start area. A short fun run for kids goes off before the main race, so expect families at the start line early.
