About the Day of the Dead Family 5K Run/Walk

The course runs through Heritage Park and out onto the surrounding streets, so there is a mix of park paths and open road. It is a Day of the Dead celebration, and the organizers lean into that: music and entertainment are spread along the route, not just saved for the finish. Strollers and wagons are welcome; pets are not.

After you finish, there is food, more music, and an awards ceremony. The post-race area is set up to linger in rather than clear out of quickly.
