About the Davis Stampede
The courses run through greenbelts and neighborhood streets in the eastern and southern parts of Davis, starting and finishing at Playfields Park. Most of the route is paved, though the half marathon dips onto a gravel and decomposed granite trail section along the outside of Wildhorse Golf Course and a nature preserve, with a shorter gravel patch near Barovetto Park.
Packet pickup happens the afternoon before at Playfields Park, the same spot as the race, and you can pick up bibs for others without showing ID. Race-morning pickup opens well before the first wave, but the organizers suggest arriving early. A post-race expo sets up at the finish, and water and electrolyte stations are spaced along all courses.
