About the Das Holiday 5k at the Cincinnati Christkindlmarkt
The course runs along the Ohio River through Cincinnati's riverfront park system, connecting Smale and Friendship parks along Mehring Way. The terrain is flat riverside path, and the holiday market is right there at the start and finish line, so the atmosphere is hard to miss.
Packet pickup opens a couple of hours before the race under the fest tent at the Christkindlmarkt. After the race, the party moves into that same heated tent, with drinks for all ages. The timing also lines up with the start of Santacon, so the crowd at the finish tends to be colorful.
