About the Crush the Chesapeake 5K
The course runs through Chesapeake City, starting near a bandstand on the main street and looping back to the Chesapeake Inn on the water. The town is small and flat, so there is not much traffic to navigate, and the surroundings along the canal give the run a scenic, unhurried character.
Bib pickup happens on the deck at the Chesapeake Inn on race morning, so arriving early enough to park and get sorted before the start is worth planning around. After the run, the party stays at the inn, with live music and the orange crushes the race is essentially named for.
