About the Crater Crawl
The course runs around a pair of volcanic pit craters northwest of Mountain Home, a site that holds federal landmark status. The terrain is rough and honest about it. A longer route circles both craters; a shorter out-and-back takes you to an overlook of the east crater without the full loop. Neither is flat or groomed.

How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
