About the Harvest Hustle 5k Run/Walk
The Harvest Hustle runs through Legacy Park on Thanksgiving morning, giving people a reason to get outside before the day's eating begins. The course is a straightforward park run, and the event is free to enter. It benefits a local animal rescue organization and the state food bank, and organizers ask runners to bring non-perishable food, pet food, or supplies like cat litter or blankets.
Pets are welcome on the course, so expect some dogs in the crowd. Because donations are the real currency here, it is worth loading up your car the morning of rather than arriving empty-handed.
