About the CrackedBell NYC ShakeOut Run from Rosie O'Grady's
This is a shakeout run the morning before the Marathon, starting near Rosie O'Grady's on Broadway. The route heads up to Fifth Avenue, rolls through the gentle grade along Central Park South, and swings by the Marathon finish line for a photo before looping back. It is short and easy by design, meant to shake out the legs, not test them.
After the run, the group heads into Rosie O'Grady's for lunch. The bar and restaurant has a long history in the running world, and on Marathon weekend the crowd there tends to include a mix of athletes and people deep in the sport. It is a good place to sit down after an easy morning on the course.
