The course runs through Spring Grove Cemetery, which makes for an unusual setting, tree-lined paths among historic monuments rather than a typical road or park loop. The race supports Cincinnati Police Department members affected by breast cancer, and that purpose is visible in the crowd. Awards go to top finishers, age group winners, survivors, top fundraisers, and best pink costume.
Live music and food are at the finish, and the post-race gathering runs long enough to be worth sticking around for.
