About the Community First Credit Union Santa Scamper
The Santa Scamper runs through downtown Appleton just before the Christmas parade kicks off, so the streets are already filling with spectators when runners go through. The course starts at the corner of College Ave and State Street and ends at Jones Park, keeping things short and manageable for all ages. There is a clock at the finish, but timing is casual.
Packet pickup is at Appleton Beer Factory on College Ave the week before the race. On-site registration is also available. The race supports St. Joseph Food Program, and organizers encourage bringing a canned good or dry staple when you pick up your packet. After the finish, there are Dilly Bars from Dairy Queen and a coupon for a burger from JD's Drive-In.
