About the Coach Yantis 5K Turkey Trot

The race runs on the campus of MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, starting and finishing near the Cunningham Center. It honors a longtime coach and raises money for a scholarship endowment in his name, along with cancer support services and school grants. The morning opens with a group warm-up and a short welcome before the field heads out.

Check-in and packet pickup happen inside the Cunningham Center foyer on race morning, so there is no separate pre-race trip required. Runners are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to drop at a donations table for a local food pantry. A short kids' dash follows the main race, and awards are announced shortly after.
