About the 704 Blue Run
The 704 Blue Run is held in memory of Olathe Police Department officers lost in the line of duty, and that purpose runs through the whole morning. The course follows paved trails along Indian Creek, which makes for a smooth surface with natural surroundings. There are two distance options, including a signature route whose mileage reflects the radio number the race is named for.
The race starts and finishes at a church on the east side of Olathe, with parking off a side street through a specific lot entrance. Packet pickup happens at the same location the evening before, and race-morning pickup is also available for those who cannot make it out ahead of time.
