This is a dog-friendly race held at a fire company's picnic grounds just outside of Lock Haven. The shorter distance starts later in the morning, giving dogs and their owners a chance to watch the faster crowd finish before heading out themselves. The grounds setting means grass and open space rather than a road course through town.
