About the Cleft Palate Gallop 5K and Fun Walk
The course starts at the Old Well, one of the most recognized spots on the UNC-Chapel Hill campus, and winds through that setting for the run distance. There is also a shorter family walk option on the same morning. The race is put on by dental students raising money for a pediatric craniofacial treatment center, so the cause is specific and close to the people running it.
Packet pickup is the evening before the race at Fleet Feet in Carrboro, which is nearby. Race-morning registration opens before the start for anyone who skips the earlier pickup. Age group awards go out after the run.
