About the 10th Annual City of Sunrise Trick or Trot 5K Run Walk
This is a Halloween-themed road race where costumes are part of the culture, not just an option. There is also a short kids' dash for younger runners. Proceeds go to a veterans' organization, so the turnout tends to include families and community members with a reason to be there beyond the race itself.
Packet pickup happens the evening before the race at the Sunrise Civic Center on W Oakland Park Boulevard. Race-morning pickup is also available, but getting there the night before is worth it if sizing for any apparel matters to you. The start area opens early, well before the gun.
