The course runs through the grounds of Chrysalis Vineyards, with uneven terrain underfoot that makes it feel more like a trail run than a road race. It is adults only, so the crowd skews older and the mood is unhurried. There is a pour of wine at the finish, which is the point for most people out there.
Packet pickup happens race morning, opening well before the first wave goes out. Competitive runners who want to be scored for age group awards should plan to start with the earliest group, then check results online and visit the registration table to collect any award.
