About the Chasing Hope 5K Run & 1 Mile Hope Stride
The course runs on paved roads through White Hall Park, just off the interstate. Before the run begins, participants can take part in a water lantern memorial on the park's small lake, writing messages on lanterns and releasing them together. The race raises awareness around suicide prevention and mental health, with proceeds supporting a local behavioral health department.
Packet pickup is available race morning, so there is no need to plan around a separate pickup day. The park's location near the interstate exit makes it easy to find. After the race, there is food and fellowship on site.
