About the Charlottesville Women's Four Miler
The course runs through the countryside at Foxfield, so expect open terrain rather than city streets. The route is described as challenging, with natural surroundings throughout. The race is women-only and draws walkers alongside runners, the two sharing the same course at whatever pace works for them. Proceeds go to a local breast care center, which gives the morning a sense of purpose beyond the finish line.
Packet pickup happens the evening before the race at the Hillsdale Conference Center, where bibs are assigned on-site when you check in. Parking is available at the conference center, with overflow at a nearby Food Lion. A diaper drive runs alongside pickup, so bringing a package to donate is welcome. On race day, Garth Road is part of the course management plan, with volunteers directing runners along the route.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a big field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Charlottesville Women's Four Miler has been held every year since at least 2016. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
