About the Charlottesville Turkey Trot 5k
The course runs through a neighborhood near Albemarle High School, where it also starts and finishes. The terrain is mostly flat with gentle rolls throughout, nothing that will slow you down for long. The route passes directly by a local food pantry that the race benefits, alongside the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, so the cause is woven into the course itself.
Packet pickup happens the two evenings before the race at Connect Church, just across the street from the high school, with race-morning pickup available as well. Parking is spread across the high school and two nearby schools. Awards are handed out on-site after the race, so it is worth staying.
