About the Chamber Chase 5K

The race starts and finishes at Riverside Preparatory Academy, and the course runs alongside the shorter wellness walk option, so the field tends to mix corporate teams with families out for the morning. It is a road race with a local chamber of commerce behind it, which gives the start area a well-organized, neighborly feel.

Packet pickup is held at the chamber of commerce offices on E.E. Butler Parkway during the weekdays leading up to race day, with a midday window both days. There is no race-morning pickup mentioned, so plan to go early in the week.

Common Questions About the Chamber Chase 5K

Will I finish last at the Chamber Chase 5K?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5K field finished slower than 33:32, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:20:38, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Chamber Chase 5K a good first 5K?

A field of 460 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 5K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Chamber Chase 5K?

The 5K winner ran 16:14 while the median finisher took 33:32. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
