About the Center Education Foundation 5K & 1 Mile
The race starts and finishes at a shopping center in south Kansas City, built around a block party already in full swing when you arrive. Expect live music, a vendor fair, a classic car show, and a kids' zone at the finish. The course itself is a road route through the surrounding neighborhood.
Packet pickup happens at the starting line inside the shopping center on race morning, with earlier pickup times announced beforehand. The start area puts you right in the middle of the festival, so there is plenty to do while you wait.
