About the Carolina Reaper Challenge (13.1 - 26.2 - 50k & Relay)
The course runs on a paved loop through Riverwest Nature Preserve, a former golf course in Greenville. The old cart paths roll through shaded stretches, cross wooden bridges, and pass waterfalls and riverfront views. It is a summer race, so the heat is real and is very much the point. Several distance options share the same loop, with a relay option for teams.
Packet pickup closes before the start with no exceptions, so arrive early. Parking is in an old driving range area a short walk from the start. A large tent at the finish line serves as an athlete village with space for chairs, coolers, and canopies between laps.
