About the Capes & Courage: Toughest Kids Halloween Run
The course runs a couple of loops on wide, grassy trails through a nature preserve, so expect soft ground underfoot and open space around you. It is a short, manageable distance that works well for kids and adults running together, and the trail setting means there are usually birds and other wildlife to spot along the way.
Packet pickup happens on site the morning of the race, just before the start. Costumes are strongly encouraged, though not required. After crossing the finish, the party moves inside the Sustainability Education Center at The Preserve at Lakewood, where there is more candy. Parking is available on site.
