About the Canya Cañon Trail Race & Hike
The course runs up the Columbine Trail through North Cheyenne Cañon Park, starting at the Starsmore Visitor and Nature Center. It climbs the length of the trail with canyon surroundings the whole way, so expect sustained uphill on natural terrain. Leashed dogs are welcome on course, which gives the morning a certain character you do not always find at trail races.
Bib pickup opens before the start at Starsmore, which also has restrooms inside the visitor center. Parking is available in the lots near the start, with a dirt overflow lot a short walk away on Mesa Ave. After finishing, there is beer and a small painting waiting, courtesy of a local brewery and the organizing group.

The Canya Cañon Trail Race & Hike has been held every year since at least 2018. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
