About the CandleLight 12/24 Hour - Overnight Ultra and Relays

The course is a short paved loop with a brief stretch of smooth packed trail woven in. The first half trends gently downhill, the second half brings it back up, so each lap feels balanced rather than punishing. The format is simple: run, walk, rest, or nap as you see fit, and keep going as long as you want through the night.

There is a fully stocked aid station on course, and the setup encourages runners to bring their own gear and stake out a personal spot along the loop to return to each time around. Relay teams carry a bib belt as a baton, with each team working out their own rotation however they like.
