About the CAK5K on the Runway

The course runs on an actual airport runway and through an Ohio Air Guard facility, which makes it unlike almost any other road race around. The start and finish are at an air museum, so there are aircraft on display as you come through. Partway along the route there is a short sprint segment where runners can compete for a separate set of awards.

Packet pickup happens at local running stores in the days before the race, with options in both Akron and Canton. Military discounts are available; the organizer's contact information is listed on the race page.
