About the Brooks Lake Sammamish Half Marathon
The course runs point to point along the East Lake Sammamish Trail, a fully paved path that stays flat the whole way. You are on a dedicated trail rather than open roads, with the lake nearby for much of the route. It draws both runners and walkers, and the generous time limit on the walk category means the back of the field has room to move at its own pace.
The race is cupless, so bring a handheld bottle or a hydration pack. A reusable cup is available at the start if you forget. Aid stations are spread along the course at reasonable intervals.

How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
