About the Breaking Free 5K and Fun Run COLOR RUN
The Breaking Free Color Run takes place at Evergreen Municipal Park, where runners and walkers pass through stations that coat them in colored powder. The course is not the point so much as the color is, and the atmosphere is closer to a street party than a timed race. The route includes both a longer run and a shorter fun run option for younger kids.
Everyone who pre-registered still needs to stop by the registration table on arrival to collect their color packet for the start. The event is cashless, so leave the cash at home. Wear clothes and shoes you do not mind ruining, because the powder is thorough. Gates close before the run begins, so arriving early matters.
