About the Boyertown 1-Mile Challenge
The course is a track at the middle school, but this is not a straight running race. The first few laps happen on the grass inside the track and involve bear crawls, burpee broad jumps, and walking lunges before the final lap, which is a run on the track itself. You can enter alone or put together a small team and split the work among yourselves.
Part of the draw is a gym rivalry: participants pick a side between two local sponsors when they register, and the gym that turns out the bigger crowd earns a traveling cup and bragging rights. A cup relay race closes out the morning, with chosen members from each gym going head-to-head through all four movements.
