About the Boo Run 5k & 10k
The course heads out from Fallen Heroes Park along a paved trail beside the Tule River, then doubles back. Both distances share the same path, so the footing is smooth and the river stays close throughout. Halloween costumes are encouraged, and plenty of people show up dressed for it.
Fallen Heroes Park has restrooms, pavilions, and picnic areas, so families tend to stick around before and after. The race is the primary fundraiser for the local nonprofit that maintains the Parkway, which gives the morning a neighborly weight beyond just the costume contest energy.
