About the 4th Annual Porterville 5K/10K Trail Run

The course runs out and back on a dirt path, starting and finishing at the military academy that hosts the event. It is a trail-style run rather than a road race, so expect packed dirt underfoot and an honest turnaround. There is also a short kids' course, so the morning draws families as much as solo runners.

Packet pickup is available at the academy's front office before race day, with a race-morning window as a backup for those who cannot make it earlier. Parking is free on site. The race benefits the local EAA chapter, which has a long connection to the academy through aviation scholarships and mentorship.
